Robin Koza

Hi! My name is Robin Koza, and I'm a lampwork artist, teacher & graphic artist.

I'm a dreamer and a visionary so I like to dabble in lots of things. My modo: "Life if too short to limit possibilities"--lol! I've been making jewelry for over 17 years and that's what led me to making my own glass beads (lampworking) in early 2004. I fell head-over-heals in love with lampworking and the fluidity of melting glass that I pretty much dropped jewelry making at that time.

I've been very fortunate to take classes with some wonderful instructors along the way. They've been a huge inspiration to me and my goal is to take my art to new levels each time I learn from such accomplished instructors. Over the years, I've gotten back into making jewelry: PMC, wirework & metalsmithing that can incorporate my art glass beads.

Lampworking, Metalsmithing, Graphic Arts & Photography are my passions, I simply can't get enough!! I enjoy all styles of bead making including floral, organic & geometric beads designs. I love color and shape and the simplification of forms. I am humbled by the elegance and beauty of nature as I try to loosely capture it in glass. I love to use transparent glass, reactive glass, dichro, frit, cz's, silver & murrini in my art glass beads as my desire is to draw the viewers eye deep inside the beads to inspire emotion and imagination. I strive to create beads and jewelry that make the admirer wonder what they are made of...beads and jewelry that asks to be touched and investigated. No two pieces are exactly alike. They truly are one-of-a-kind.

I currently teach lampworking & jewelry workshops in my home studio. Teaching is something I love to do, I enjoy sharing my techniques and try to help others develop their creative spirit. Please check my website to see my new workshops that are being offered!

I am an active member, past co-president and webmaster of the Indiana Society of Lampwork and Art Glass Artists (ISLAGA), and a member of the Indiana Bead Society (IBS). I'm very honored that my art glass beads and jewelry have juried into the Indiana Artisan program which enables me to utilize the Indiana Artisan logo.
